In order to raise awareness about the birds and their importance as natural resources in the territory, the Association for the Integral Development of the District of Miajadas-Trujillo, ADICOMT, has prepared an extensive program of activities to develop in the territory during all weekends from May to July.
These activities are part of which is "Verava 2010, I Festival of the Birds of the Shire of Miajadas-Trujillo, whose purpose is to educate on environmental values \u200b\u200bto the population both the territory and outside it, highlighting the importance of natural elements in rural development planning, in addition to learning bird identification, knowing the best places to watch.
This "Summer of Birds of open, free public event is new in the area, which undoubtedly will be an important means of dissemination. Among the activities taking place during the festival, are the outputs to see birds and orchids, workshops, introduction to bird watching, a junior marathon team, nights to listen to nature, outputs disabled, a film festival, nature documentaries, short story contest themed bird, etc.
The first departures are planned for the coming days 8 and 9 May, with departures Robledillo programs Trujillo Jaraicejo, Garciaz and the Rio Almonte.
From ADICOMT, we encourage all people in general, both residents of the region as visitors from the same, to participate in these many activities that the association will launch in the territory, which aims to become annual event for bird lovers.
